Harry Meets Sir Charles' Mom

During one of my nights at the Olympics I got to check out the Dream Team as they pounded Angola into oblivion. Fortunately, I had some excellent seats....right next to Dream Teamer Charles Barkley's Mom! Charles lives nearby in Alabama, so she was in town to check her pride and joy hit the court against some unskilled opponents. She was really cool, and we talked for a while before Charles entered the game. Oh yeah, and just so you know, some parts of this interview were juxtaposed purely for pickle enjoyment!

Harry: So, does Charles like pickles? (No sense wasting any time)

Mom: Actually he doesn't really like pickles, but he sure loves black olives! (I'm not one to disagree with Charles Barkley, so it's close enough)

Harry: How many black olives can he eat in a sitting?

Mom: Charles is a big boy, and sometimes he just eats 'em right out of the jar. One time he ate two of those things. (That's pretty cool)

Harry: Do black olives improve his play?

Mom: I don't have any proof, but call it mother's intuition. If it wasn't for those olives, I don't think Charles would be where he is today. (Food is so important, isn't it?)

Harry: Do you keep pickles in your house anyways to serve to company?

Mom: Oh, of course. Pickles are ideal for guests, they love them. You go CB! (Charles just jammed)

With Sir Charles in the game, his Mom takes on a whole new focus, so that was the end of our interview. Pretty cool stuff! Personally I love pickles, but I can look past the fact the Charles doesn't and can understand and respect his opinion. Besides, the man is huge and eats black olives by the jar! He's still cool in my book, and so is his Mom.
